The multitasking Sportline 343 is both a pedometer and a calorie counter that speaks to you in a clear, pleasant voice. Simply press a button to have the 343 read the number of steps, distance, and time of day (information which is also replicated on the large LCD screen). The auto voice will also tell you when you've reached your exercise goal. The built-in time of day clock and alarm will keep you on schedule as well. It also has seven built-in melodies that can be activated and played while you walk or jog, with the tempo changing according to your speed. It measures distance from 0.01 to 1,000 miles and calories burned, and records steps up to 99,999. Other features include individual stride adjustment and four different alarm sounds. It's powered by a CR2025 battery.
