This pedometer delivers exactly what it promises. It's small, lightweight, has a decent radio that hangs on to the station being played, and is remarkably accurate. Love the extra belt clip to prevent dropping and breaking. Have used a lot of small pedometers, with and without radio capability, and like this one the best.
I absolutely love this pedometer. I bought it from Dick's Sporting goods last year and I plan to buy another on Amazon just for a back-up since Dick's has been out of them. I have had no problem with the clip which stays firmly attached to my work-out clothes. I really enjoy hearing the voice announce the amount of steps taken when you get to the next thousand. This is an excellent, no-fuss pedometer without all the gadgetry. It it a great incentive piece for people like me who like to take in more than 10,000 steps a day and since I'm a personal trainer and gym manager, I always recommend this pedometer to my clients. It's inexpensive, user-friendly and it works. I give it two-thumbs up.

This is one fantastic pedometer! First and foremost, the ability to store up to seven days worth activity on the pedometer itself and additionally to be able to download and save all of your activity onto your computer make this pedometer extremely useful and practical. The included software is surprisingly robust and allows you to set all kinds of preferences, alarms, and activity goals; and also offers analysis of your activity versus goals, including graphs. You can use the accompanying base to upload your information or any USB A-B cable. This is great because I can leave my base at home, and use a regular USB cable at work and/or on my laptop without bringing a bulky base.
The pedometer is very compact - about as big as two quarters, but the display is very easy to read with large numbers and letters. It has a variety of modes that you can cycle through, and you can set preferences, goals, timers, alarms, etc. either on the pedometer itself or on the computer with the included software.
I find the pedometer to be nearly perfectly accurate, with no more than one step +/- off for every 100 steps or so - that's incredible! The pedometer is supposed to be able to differentiate between running steps and walking steps, and it does, but it doesn't seem to count my steps when I go jogging as running - only when I run at a faster pace. Since I prefer to jog to keep my impact low, this is the one drawback I've found with the device. Don't get me wrong, it still counts the steps, but when it uploads to the software, it counts my jogging steps as walking ones.
The pedometer is light, but also seems solidly built. The buttons are small, but easy to get used to, and the display is in a position that you can always see it without having to take it off of you first.
Overall, I am really pleased with the quality of the pedometer and the ability to use the goals and software makes it fun and encouraging to get out and stay active. It's really great to see you have met your goals for the day and are on your way to getting healthier. If I had to pick one word to describe this pedometer, I would say it would be "indispensable".
I bought this pedometer to replace one that rarely worked. This one was easy to set up and use. I was always knocking the other one off of my pants and had to give up using my fanny pack. The HJ 113 has a nice safety strap with an easy to use clip so I no longer knock it off. I could put it in my backpack, if I wished. It is accurate and I enjoy having the clock. It has nice smooth edges and rarely catches on clothing or equipment. Although the automatic reset at midnight is usually convenient, I sometimes want to use it more than once a day. I have to remember to write down the reading on the first use and subtract it from the second use numbers as there is no reset button. Would be nice if it was also a stopwatch to time hikes and runs. Over all, it is a great product.
I had to return this pedometer and the seller was very nice with the refund. I found it was too small for my senior eyes to see while walking and not wearing my glasses. The item should have had the size of the pedomter listed--it was about 1-1/2" W and maybe 2" Long.
my daughter was looking for a pedometer for a school project. Affter a couple of those dirt cheap ones that keep resetting itself by the slightest bump, or the battery will pop open everytime you drop it, we decided to look for a reasonably priced better one without spending a fortune.... this definitely qualify to be one.

Pairing the pod is a little tricky. I tried using a magnet from my old speedometer, and it did not work. The problem is that you'll need to activate the pod before you can pair it to the watch (by simply turning the weel), and there is no indication whether that indeed worked. Documentation is a little brief. I choose to mount it on my rear wheel, and I mounted it upside down so the pod was closer to the magnet. I have no clue if these are the best choices, but it works now and since it is connected to the bike with tie-wraps I am not going to change it. Despite this, the setup was actually pretty quick, and it worked without problem for the few rides I did after installing it.
A "Wristop Computer Bike Adaptor" is included, this is a piece of plastic that fits around the handlebars, and you can mount the wristwatch on this piece of plastic. Simple but effective, except that this design was not made for oversized handlebars (31.8 clamp size), that are found on newer and/or higher end bikes. It still works, but it does not look pretty.
The screen of the T3 that I use gets a little crowded, and the numbers are small. You could buy a separate bike computer for less money, and have bigger numbers for easier readout. However, I like this bikepod, because there is very little stuff attached to the bike. Another advantage is that the stats are included on the wristwatch.
Measurement is effortless and, when properly calibrated, also very accurate. I cliped it on my belt, in my pocket, nothing works, it just won't count at all. Of cause it did count if I shake it, wondering if it's recording my steps or my "arm workout".
** that was my one day old review, now I see how to get it to work. The screen reader has to be parallel against the ground. So when we say, clip on the belt, I really need to clip on the belt, not the holes on the belt to hold it. Unfortunately for me, I don't use belt. So I have to clip it on the pant itself, then it's working properly. I wish the belt clip is twistable. That's the only complain I have. Otherwise it works great!

Overall, I like this watch, although if I were designing it, I would make some changes.The pedometer stops it's running count if you are still for a certain amount of time ( I cannot determine that point). Also, even though I set it to LOW sensitivity, it will sometimes add up steps while I am driving in my car. I have tried to test it while driving to see what movement it is responding to ( like shifting positions, curves, bumps) but cannot see any discernible cause. Also the night light is too dim to read the watch face. You must remember to RESET the pedometer each day or you'll get a running count. I really only use the watch, pedometer and heart rate features; have not been able to take the time to learn all of the other functions, as they are not too user friendly in terms of instructions. What I like about it is that I no longer have to remember to clip a bulky waistband pedometer to my pants anymore, and this watch, although not exactly dainty, is fairly pleasing aesthetically.
This little gadget is great. Low tech yet tells you in steps, miles, and even calories how far you have gone. Really convenient. Stays on well. Very happy with it.
This is a good value purchase for a specific need-use watch. Because of a specific health issue I wanted a heart rate moniter. This is a quality looking watch and the time function and the hart moniter function are dependable. The sport look is neat with a tough feel to go with the dependable operation. The only negative is the band. If you don't mind, or prefer, the plastic/rubber feel on a watch band there is no problem. the size of the band makes it difficult to locate a comfortable and attractive band for the "cool" watch. One of the seiko orange/black sportura bands will work, but at an expensive price. I used a stanless casio band that was re-sized on a grinding wheel to create a nead sport watch that looks great. This is a good watch when you are comfortable with the band used with it.
The pedometer arrived promptly. It works as advertised, and is not so very difficult to operate as stated by previous poster. If you can use a cell phone you can use this. It could use a longer and better securing belt clip as I have knocked it off my belt numerous times. However, despite several drops and knocks it has stood up to the abuse and still works fine.

I just bought the Omron to replace a Polar heart rate monitor that did not work for me. The Polar was more expensive but just didn't work for me. The Polar would not work in my home when I used it during my DVD based workouts and it also gave erratic readings when used at the park. The literature and the personnel at the fitness store where I purchased the Polar said that my TV and electrical items in my home could cause the interference. The Omron does not seem to be effected by any of these electronic devices and works just fine when used during my DVD based workouts. I am pleased to have been able to find a device that works very well and is less expensive. If I have to say anything negative about it. The strap to the Polar was a bit more comfortable. I am also concerned that for a women that is only 32 inches around the chest area if I continue to lose inches the Omron says 29 inches is the smallest size it will fit so not sure what I will do then. The device seems like it was made for a man. Overall I am very happy to have a device that gives me a gauge of my workouts.
